This coursework is paired with ExamSimulator, and online practice testing program that simulates every aspect of the state exam. Greenlight Training:

We combine video with text and comprehensive exams to give our students the “real life” classroom experience from the convenience of their own home, at their own pace and on their schedules.

You can study on your own time, when and where you wish – its just you and the material!  You will be required to pass an examination before you receive a certificate of completion. This, of course, means you have to pass an exam before you can take the state exam.
Advantage Education Group provides an opportunity for insurance
students to enroll for pre-licensing self study classes as an
alternative to classroom instruction.    Once you decide on your
Self-Study course, order the materials by clicking on the button for the
course.  After studying the material and when you feel you are ready to
take the proctored exam, contact us to schedule a time to take it
(there is no additional charge for this – it is included in the cost of
your materials). A passing score of 70% or greater is required to 
obtain your Certificate of Course Completion.  Once you obtain your
Certificate, you can then take the State exam.
